The Greek team of TEI of Athens (now University of West Attica), and specifically of the School of Graphic Arts & Artistic Studies Graphic Arts Technology department, won the Young Star award for its participation. The participation concerned the reproduction of Byzantine iconography using the silk-screen method. Different frames & colors were used in  four color at 72 lpi, CMYK four color at 105 lpi and six color at 72 lpi. The works were completed by adding varnish and gold leaf. Congratulations to the whole team and good luck! PREVIOUS Haitoglou SA chooses Durst Tau 330LM NEXT Heidelberg - MBO deal freezes Read more. From © 2020 Graphica News All rights reservedGRAPHICA EXPO 2019 on May 8, 2019 Share to FacebookShare to TwitterShare to E-mailShare to PinterestShare to Print The 16th edition of the Graphic Arts and Graphic Applications exhibition GRAPHICA EXPO 2019 was concluded with great success at the end of February.

Exhibitors from various parts of Greece welcomed at MEC Paianas more than 5000 companies who once again chose the exhibition to learn about the latest developments in Graphic Arts and Visual Communication. With an exhibition area increased by 34% compared to the previous event and impressive booth constructions, the image manipulation service participating companies showed during the 3 days of GRAPHICA new, innovative products and services, confirming once again that the Printing Industry is constantly evolving and is dynamically entering the new digital era. VISITABILITY In total, the exhibition was visited by 5035 companies this year, based on the number of invitations collected, and the attendance from the wider Attica region saw a 10% increase compared to the previous event. Based on statistics from previous years, the traffic from the region tends to always be 10 units more than that from Athens.

However, due to the extraordinary weather phenomena that occurred during the weekend of the Event (see Oceanida), which led to the cancellation of routes and flights, the attendance from the region was limited to 45% of the total. Of the 45% of businesses in the region that, despite the difficult weather conditions, traveled to Athens for the exhibition, the first place of origin comes from Thessaloniki, followed by Crete and Cyprus. VISITOR ACTIVITIES Once again, as is natural for an exhibition like GRAPHICA, the lion's share of the visitors were print professionals at 56%*. The "Printing" category includes both digital printing centers and traditional offset printing houses, either specializing in printing forms or packaging products. This is followed by professionals dealing with "Graphics" at a rate of 22%*, which includes advertising agencies, creative agencies and freelance graphic designers.
